Granulocyte to monocyte ratio: leucokinetics in hematic biometry for appendicitis screening
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background: Acute appendicitis diagnosis is still challenging and established with clinical history, physical exam, laboratory tests, imaging studies. It´s crucial to analyze the blood biometry physiopathological asses not a statistical approach for establishing diagnostic items. The interaction between neutrophils monocytes noticeable in biometry, so its relationship could be explained as directly proportional count because of cellular recruitment inversely monocyte migration. Methods: A retrospective, transversal analytic study was conducted, admission all patients (n=160) that went through appendectomy Pemex´s North Central Hospital 2014 2019 were dissected. Statistical correlation sensibility likelihood ratio granulocyte/monocyte (GMR), leucocyte elevation, left shift neutrophil contrasted. IBM® SPSS© software performed analysis. Results: GMR (1.00) sensitivity showed superior leukocytosis (0.785) percentage (0.846). same negative ratios (LR-) calculated (0.00), (0.59) (0.579). Conclusions: higher detecting immune response patient suspected acute compared elevation or both.

Lymphocyte to monocyte ratio as a screening tool for influenza
In fall 2009 the emergency department of a clinic in Greece with increased patient visits due to influenza-like illness observed a particular pattern in the complete blood count (CBC) of these patients. In 90% of all patients with probable influenza, lymphopenia and/or monocytosis were present. Relative lymphopenia with or without monocytosis appears to be a laboratory marker for H1N1 virus inf...

Conflict that the derived neutrophil lymphocyte (dNLR) has prognostic value in patients with a variety of cancers exists. The aim of the present study was to devise a monocyte/granulocyte to lymphocyte ratio (M/GLR) which counts as (white cell count - lymphocyte count) to lymphocyte count, and verify its prognostic value in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). 1061 HCC patients were re...

Objective(s): Appendicitis remains the most common condition in the pediatric population requiring emergency abdominal operation. Management of acute simple appendicitis is well described but controversy remains as to the optimal treatment of complicated appendicitis. Common complications of acute appendicitis include: localized peritonitis and abscess formation, flegmon and general perito...

BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is the most common cause of abdominal surgery in children. Adjuncts are used to help clinicians predict acute or perforated appendicitis, which may affect treatment decisions. Automated hematologic analyzers can perform more accurate automated differentials including immature granulocyte percentages (IG%). Elevated IG% has demonstrated improved accuracy for predict...
